Wat Sakae
Wat Sakae is located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River in Pathum Thani’s Sam Khok district. The temple was presumably built in the Ayutthaya period under typical Mon architecture and design concepts. Interesting historical highlights in this archaeological site include a traditional Thai pavilion, a foreign-inspired Thai chapel, a freestanding bell tower, a Buddhist scripture cabinet and an Ayutthaya-style preaching pulpit. Outside, the temple also exhibits a marvelous pagoda with twelve-indented corners as well as pagodas designed in Chinese and Langka styles.
