Wat Song Pee Nong
Wat Song Pee Nong is located on the east bank of the Chao Phraya River in Ban Ngio sub-district, Sam Khok district, Pathum Thani province. Similar to other temples in the province, Wat Song Pee Nong was believed to be built in the Ayutthaya period. This religious site was originally named “Tung Ya Mueang”, a city that flourished before the prominence of Sam Khok city.
The statue of Luang Phor Petch, a holy Buddhist monk who gained huge respect from Mon people, is considered as the most interesting highlight of the temple.
